GASTRONOMY: THE COUNTRY WELL REPRESENTED





Erika Meyer-BOUCHARD Domaine du Val des Rois Valréas participated in the competition for the best winemaker chef in Lyon in late January during the shows PLACE OF WINES and SIRHA Lyon (Go Global catering professionals and the inn). Erika prepared before a jury of professionals the best meal type possible.
She was accompanied by the head of his choice, Evelyne Niort, the restaurant "Delight In Provence Valréas which has provided advice.
The wine chosen was a Cotes du Rhone Villages "Valréas - Domaine Val des Rois and a specialty dish showcasing local produce a roll of lamb with saffron and tarragon crusted salt ..
Erika was selected with 15 other vintners of Beaujolais, the Rhone Valley and Burgundy and the jury was chaired by Nicolas Le Bec, Lyon restaurant with two stars of Michelin Guide.
Winners: Corinne
Bernard Cave Balma Venitia in Beaumes de Venise (84), and Eric Sapet, Little House Cucuron (84) followed by Matthew Brown, the Château of gold and reds with Holy Gilles (30), and Paul Salvador, The Vintage Restaurant in Nîmes (30) and Mathilde Bonnet Area Vintners in Forez Trelins (42), and François Gagnaire, François Gagnaire restaurant in Le Puy-en-Velay (43).
Erika and Evelyn have finished fourth and therefore have represented our country well "Another Provence. Congrats to them both.
