Some news ... finally!
Hello everybody, I'm
finally time to give you some news about it or Deva now beautiful weather for nearly a month, we can even take our breakfast out!
I hope you had a good Easter.
Here, although we were surrounded and we had a lot of way. We So many benefits.
First, there was the Palm Sunday Mass, magnificent, Willy sings a cappella gospel (he plays the organ and sings at mass on Sunday). It was a beautiful Mass and the church was full (which is not always the case at the Mass in Romanian). Holy Week, even stronger here because the great respect and care they put into the liturgy makes this point more concrete and more beautiful. Church bells and organ are silent and everyone lives intese those days.
Then, Saturday morning at 8:30, my two friends arrived from France, and Isabelle Thibault. They stayed with us until Tuesday morning and they went on an expedition in the mountains Romanian or they encountered some snow but no bears!
The tradition here is to decorate eggs in the dye, painting, etc.. So we went to see how it was with them. Then we went to their present Bejan has few friends and family to show them something of what We concentrate here.
They were greeted with warmth, simplicity and interest that we have many keys. We stayed a while to chat, play games and take pictures.
the evening, it was the Easter Vigil, a three-hour liturgy, has fallen the night, but so long so well prepared and in a church so full that in the end, it was very beautiful.
The next day we left for the day Sebesh has, in the community of fransciscains or we like to spend time and rest (training center for priests and brothers). They had prepared a meal with lamb and typical gargentuesque, ham, mashed potatoes, sarmale (bending machine of cabbages leaves filled with meat and vegetables), a sort of macedonia, dessert ..... finally, all the traditional dishes that are found to holidays.
Then, they were hiding chocolate eggs in the garden to share some of our traditions too, but it did the fun way!
Finally, it was a great time all together, though warm and festive.
Easter Monday, the tradition that boys are we recite poems in suits tell us we are beautiful like flowers .... then we flavor. In exchange, we offer the eggs we decorated. The
after lunch, I visited the citadel of Deva with Thibault and Isabelle, here as elsewhere, it's always when there are guests that are visiting our city's best, not because I don ' struts up until this point, however, the most impressive in town!
I really love to be able to share more concretely my life and my mission here and my little sisters to present community. And it was nice to have a look outside on our business.
So thank you again to you both!
And for one week, we had a home Marica, former Point Heart of Romania came back to these steps. We have seen the evolution of friendships past two years, the differences between his time and ours (yes, yes, yes!: Heating, hot water any time ...., so large avanceees!). Finally it was really interesting and nice to share our experiences.
Then a few days ago, we submitted because the AC was Orthodox Easter a week later. And this time, we wanted to take this opportunity to get into the great Romanian cuisine! So we purchased a lamb and all those bodies, we made a sort of terrine is done for Easter. We also salata of the ox (sort of macedonia) All this we occupy at least deuce days. Even the neighbors came to give us a hand. All that for that end, the Romanian grandmother that we had invited by commenting on everything, tell us what was missing here and there and that his son deamnde us why we were trying to Romanian cuisine! Well, we were still proud of us because for the first time, it was not so bad! This
grandmother, very typical of the campaign, accustomed to a life very simple, completely lost in the city is really crisp. She and many Romanian Orthodox, 300%! And his only son, really the campaign, rather fascinated by books, Catholic priest and became perhaps the worst is that he has learned Hungarian, mastered to perfection and is priest in Hungary.
is this grandmother that we were visiting in the hospital and we have then invited her and now she is concerned it will become to our departure.
Voila, now we are trying to recover many of these festival days and all these visits.
For other small news, Damitz and Manu went to France, to my great sadness. We hope very much that they have lived with us will stay in a small corner of their head ... We should see them back in a few months.
